My Take On The Guns And Shootings
Feb. 21st, 2018 10:39 pmHello Readers
I hope you all had good day, mine was not all that bad. Work went well and I got finished with my tasks rather quickly. When you work cleaning hotel rooms, you are cleaning by yourself most of the time. Within the time, you have a lot of time to think and ponder on different things going on in life. Well today, I opened the door to one of my stay-overs and he had the tv on fox news. As I clean, I sometimes have a tv on, or if I am in a vacant room, I will turn the radio on depending on what I am in the mood for that day. Anyhow, Fox news was on and some of the kids from the Florida shooting was on there giving speeches about their take on gun control, as well as the tragedy they endured last week. These were really good, descriptive speeches and very sad at the same time. Some described screaming and crying, some described hearing the gunshots and looking over to see one of their peers dying. While I think it is great these young people are finding their voices and putting their freedom of speech to use, you have to wonder if congress or whomever is actually watching? There is a lot of controversy surrounding mental health and gun issues right now that is for sure. Someone has to be at fault for all of this. Do we blame an inanimate object that does not control itself, but a living, breathing person can control? Do we blame the government, or parents? Mental health physicians? Who's fault is this? We really do not know. People say all this violence started when they took God out of the schools, no, it started with kids not being taught morals. Parents give their children way to much privacy in their own home and turn a blind eye to what their kids are getting into. Then, before you know it a gun is found and all hell breaks loose. There are talks of banning guns, however some people do not know the difference between banning a weapon and control of its use. Guns will never completely disappear, just like drugs. There are way to many people, and black markets. They are just something that is always going to exist. I also hate to say it, but all of this mess is just going to diminish and get lost among the tabloids like everything else. A new story will told, and people will eventually move on with their lives.
